Bethanie
In April 2022, AWB was awarded the contract to refurbish several units for Bethanie Housing. The project was split into 6 groups, with a total of 42 units. Each unit was completed over a 6 week period and the general scope of works for each unit is listed below. All units were completed on time and on budget, resulting in AWB being awarded another group of units to refurbish.

Site Supervision & Project Management
End-to-end coordination of trades, timelines, safety, and quality across all phases of the project.
Stakeholder & Client Communication
Transparent and proactive engagement with clients, consultants, and government bodies through regular updates and reporting.
Compliance & Certification Management
Ensuring all works meet relevant codes and standards, including WHS, Access Aus (AS 1428), and environmental regulations.
Safety Planning & Risk Management
Development and implementation of SWMS, risk assessments, and protocols for high-risk activities such as working at heights and asbestos removal.
Subcontractor Coordination
Engaging and managing licensed trades and specialists, including asbestos removalists, concreters, roofers, and civil contractors.
Live Environment Management
Delivering works in operational schools, hospitals, offices, and public spaces with minimal disruption to occupants and services.
Environmental & Site Controls
Dust suppression, noise mitigation, waste management, and secure site access to protect people and property.
Final Clearance & Occupancy Certification
Coordination with Licensed Asbestos Assessors and Occupational Hygienists to obtain clearance certificates and occupancy permits before re-entry.
Defect Rectification & Handover
Final inspections, punch list resolution, and delivery of completion documentation including warranties and maintenance guidance.
