Project Description
AWB was awarded the contract to deliver refurbishment works across multiple toilet blocks and changerooms at the University of Notre Dame. The project aimed to modernise student amenities and improve functionality across several campus buildings, with minimal disruption to operations. AWB successfully delivered refreshed and compliant facilities tailored to the university’s standards, with all works completed to specification and in coordination with site requirements.
Scope Summary
- At ND50, AWB carried out demolition and alterations to walls and ceilings, followed by the installation of new doors and hardware, baffle blocks, glazing, cabinetry, and carpet patching. Electrical and mechanical upgrades were also completed.
- At ND6 and ND21, works included cleaning of floor tiles and urinals in male and female changeroom showers, painting of walls, ceilings, and doors, and removal of the cleaner’s cupboard in the female changeroom.
- At ND19, AWB completed carpet replacement and painting works.
- The project was delivered over a 9-week period, on time and on budget, with zero lost time injuries (LTIs) and full alignment with the University of Notre Dame’s expectations

Dust suppression, noise mitigation, waste management, and secure site access to protect people and property.
Final Clearance & Occupancy Certification
Coordination with Licensed Asbestos Assessors and Occupational Hygienists to obtain clearance certificates and occupancy permits before re-entry.
Defect Rectification & Handover
Final inspections, punch list resolution, and delivery of completion documentation including warranties and maintenance guidance.
