In January 2022, AWB Minor Works Division were awarded the major refurbishment accessibility works on behalf of Therapy Focus for a NDIS recipient. This included a full bathroom, laundry and toilet renovation.
Scope Summary
- Demolition and structural works to bathroom laundry and widening of doorways
- Plumbing works to bathroom and laundry including reflux valve
- Door widening to bedrooms
- Raise sunken lounge floor
- Rear Entrance stacker doors
- Carpentry including New external ramp
- Sliding doors
- Raise living room floor and fit new vinyl flooring
Key Deliverables
End-to-end coordination of trades, timelines, safety, and quality across all phases of the project.
Transparent and proactive engagement with clients, consultants, and government bodies through regular updates and reporting.
Ensuring all works meet relevant codes and standards, including WHS, Access Aus (AS 1428), and environmental regulations.
Development and implementation of SWMS, risk assessments, and protocols for high-risk activities such as working at heights and asbestos removal.
Engaging and managing licensed trades and specialists, including asbestos removalists, concreters, roofers, and civil contractors.
Delivering works in operational schools, hospitals, offices, and public spaces with minimal disruption to occupants and services.
Dust suppression, noise mitigation, waste management, and secure site access to protect people and property.
Coordination with Licensed Asbestos Assessors and Occupational Hygienists to obtain clearance certificates and occupancy permits before re-entry.
Final inspections, punch list resolution, and delivery of completion documentation including warranties and maintenance guidance.
