Project Description
Termite Remediation Works – Startack, Perth Airport
AWB Co. was engaged by Startack to deliver termite remediation services at their Perth Airport Distribution Centre, a project requiring precision, compliance, and minimal disruption to operational zones. Our scope included the identification, treatment, and structural repair of termite-affected areas within airport facilities, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory alignment.
As a Category 2 contractor under Perth Airport’s WHS framework, AWB Co. met stringent onboarding and evaluation criteria, including ISO45001 certification and adherence to Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations for work in Security Sensitive Aviation Areas (SSAA) 1. Our team worked closely with Linda Tiong, the designated PAPL representative, to ensure all documentation and safety protocols were in place prior to commencement 1.
The project was supported by AWB Co.’s experienced leadership and safety personnel, including Daniel Hetherington and Vaughan Graham, who liaised with Perth Airport’s Head of Safety for Projects, Robert Ashwood, to align our work with broader airport safety requirements and future project planning 2.
This termite remediation project reflects AWB Co.’s commitment to delivering high-quality maintenance solutions in complex, regulated environments. Our team’s proactive engagement, transparent communication, and technical expertise ensured the successful completion of works with full compliance and client satisfaction.
