South Metro Tafe- Rockingham

AWB was awarded the contract to deliver infrastructure upgrades to the plumbing and gas training bays at South Metro TAFE, Rockingham Campus. The project aimed to enhance the hands-on learning environment for students by constructing purpose-built bays where trainees could gain practical experience in plumbing and gas systems. AWB successfully delivered a compliant and functional training facility tailored to educational needs, with all works completed to specification and in coordination with site requirements.

Scope Summary

• AWB carried out excavation of the designated work area, followed by the installation of new mass footings and a 150mm concrete slab in accordance with engineering drawings. New walls and plumbing bays were constructed using 200mm series Parchment blocks, mass-filled with concrete and reinforced steel to match existing structures. Plumbing fixtures were installed in each bay as per plans and specifications to support future student training activities.
• All works were tested and commissioned in compliance with plans, specifications, and local authority regulations. Services delivered included bulk earthworks, concreting, plumbing, electrical, gas fitting, brickwork, and blockwork. The project was completed on time and on budget, with zero lost time injuries (LTIs) and full alignment with South Metro TAFE’s training objectives
