South Metro Tafe- Carlise

AWB was awarded the contract to deliver a full re-roofing of F Block at South Metro TAFE Carlisle Campus. The project aimed to replace aging infrastructure, improve weatherproofing, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, all while minimizing disruption to campus activities. AWB successfully delivered a structurally sound and modern roofing system tailored to the facility’s needs, with all works completed to specification and in coordination with site requirements.

Scope Summary

• AWB carried out demolition of the existing roof sheeting, roof safety access system, and associated services. This included the removal and disposal of 48 Trimdek sheets, box gutters, wall sheeting, parapets, flashings, fixings, Anticon insulation, and safety mesh wire. Mechanical units were removed and reinstated, along with their electrical and plumbing connections. The roof safety access system was also removed and reinstated.
• New installations included .48 Klip Lok sheeting, .48 Trimdek wall sheeting above box gutters, fasteners and fixings, 2mm safety mesh, flumes, drypan trays for existing penetrations, Anticon 60 insulation, custom ridge and valley flashings, compriband under ridge capping, parapet cappings, box gutters and over flashings, two new downpipes, and modifications to box gutter overflow pops as needed. All surrounding walls were made good following installation.
• All demolished materials were responsibly removed to appropriate recycling or landfill facilities. The project was delivered on time and on budget, with zero lost time injuries (LTIs) and full compliance with Programmed Facility Management’s expectations
