Port Coogee Marina

AWB was awarded the contract to deliver the internal fitout of the Port Coogee Marina Office for the City of Cockburn. The project involved refurbishing the lower ground floor of the Marina Services Building to provide upgraded ablution facilities, a lounge area, and associated service enhancements. The Marina Services Building, managed by the City of Cockburn, supports the Port Coogee Marina, which accommodates boat pen facilities for up to 300 vessels.

AWB successfully delivered a modernised and functional facility tailored to operational and community needs, with all works completed to specification and in coordination with site requirements.

Scope Summary

• AWB commenced works with demolition and removal of existing floor coverings, doors, door frames, aluminium doors, and partition walls, including scabbling of concrete floors. Concrete removal and repairs were carried out to prepare for new installations.
• Electrical Services included upgrades to power, lighting, communications, security systems, access control, lighting controls, hand dryers, solar works, modifications to the existing switchboard, call systems, and data infrastructure.
• Hydraulic Services involved capping, decommissioning, and removal of redundant services, and installation of new plumbing for ambulant toilet and ensuite facilities. This included supply and installation of sewer drains, waste lines, rising mains, vents, fixtures, and tapware.
• Additional works included grinding and polishing of concrete floors, installation of aluminium sliding doors (powder coated), timber doors and frames, and cabinetry works using repurposed jetty timber planks for T&G flooring, benchtops, cabinetry insets, feature screens, and benching.
• The fitout also included grid ceiling installation, tiling to floors and walls, carpentry works (shelving, sanitary hardware, toilet cubicles, shower screens, aluminium skirtings), and painting throughout.
