Project Description
In January 2022, AWB were contracted to complete the Universal Access Disability Upgrade works to the Single and Double Demountable buildings at Greenwood College. To reduce disruption to students and teachers, the project was split in 2 separable portions, with the walkway works being carried out first and the doorway replacement works to the buildings completed in the April school holidays.

Ensuring all works meet relevant codes and standards, including WHS, Access Aus (AS 1428), and environmental regulations.
Safety Planning & Risk Management
Development and implementation of SWMS, risk assessments, and protocols for high-risk activities such as working at heights and asbestos removal.
Subcontractor Coordination
Engaging and managing licensed trades and specialists, including asbestos removalists, concreters, roofers, and civil contractors.
Live Environment Management
Delivering works in operational schools, hospitals, offices, and public spaces with minimal disruption to occupants and services.
Environmental & Site Controls
Dust suppression, noise mitigation, waste management, and secure site access to protect people and property.
Final Clearance & Occupancy Certification
Coordination with Licensed Asbestos Assessors and Occupational Hygienists to obtain clearance certificates and occupancy permits before re-entry.
Defect Rectification & Handover
Final inspections, punch list resolution, and delivery of completion documentation including warranties and maintenance guidance.
