Accessibility Ramp Upgrade & External Works
Project Description
AWB was awarded the contract to deliver accessible ramp upgrades and an ACROD parking bay at Gingin District High School, engaged by Spotless Facility Services. The project aimed to improve accessibility and compliance with disability access standards across key areas of the school. AWB successfully delivered safe, functional, and regulation-compliant infrastructure tailored to site requirements, with all works completed to specification and in coordination with the client’s representative.
Scope Summary
- AWB constructed new accessible ramps in two designated areas and installed an ACROD-compliant car parking bay. The scope included earthworks, concrete paving and kerbing, bitumen surfacing, line marking, and installation of handrails. Additional works involved excavation and backfill, compaction of base course material, drainage, piping installation, landscaping, reticulation relocation, and termite protection.
- All works were completed under strict noise control standards to minimize disruption to school operations. The project was delivered over a 16-week period, on time and on budget, with zero lost time injuries (LTIs) and full alignment with Spotless Facility Services’ expectations

Final Clearance & Occupancy Certification
Coordination with Licensed Asbestos Assessors and Occupational Hygienists to obtain clearance certificates and occupancy permits before re-entry.
Defect Rectification & Handover
Final inspections, punch list resolution, and delivery of completion documentation including warranties and maintenance guidance.
