Project Description
AWB Co. is engaged by RAAFA on an ongoing basis to deliver a wide range of refurbishment and maintenance works across Western Australia, supporting both operational and residential facilities. Through its Contract Services Department, AWB provides reactive and preventative maintenance services under $150k, covering general building, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, roof plumbing, external works, and ad hoc tasks such as paving and tiling. Simultaneously, the Project Services Department manages larger works up to $3 million, including unit refurbishments, fitouts, structural and asbestos remediation, additions and extensions, accessibility upgrades, external landscaping, roofing, sheds, shade structures, and heritage restoration. AWB’s integrated delivery model ensures responsive service, compliance with WHS regulations, and tailored solutions that align with RAAFA’s operational needs and community-focused values

Design & Scope Development
Site Supervision & Project Management
End-to-end coordination of trades, timelines, safety, and quality across all phases of the project.
Stakeholder & Client Communication
Transparent and proactive engagement with clients, consultants, and government bodies through regular updates and reporting.
Compliance & Certification Management
Ensuring all works meet relevant codes and standards, including WHS, Access Aus (AS 1428), and environmental regulations.
Safety Planning & Risk Management
Development and implementation of SWMS, risk assessments, and protocols for high-risk activities such as working at heights and asbestos removal.
Subcontractor Coordination
Engaging and managing licensed trades and specialists, including asbestos removalists, concreters, roofers, and civil contractors.
Live Environment Management
Delivering works in operational schools, hospitals, offices, and public spaces with minimal disruption to occupants and services.
Environmental & Site Controls
Dust suppression, noise mitigation, waste management, and secure site access to protect people and property.
Final Clearance & Occupancy Certification
Coordination with Licensed Asbestos Assessors and Occupational Hygienists to obtain clearance certificates and occupancy permits before re-entry.
Defect Rectification & Handover
Final inspections, punch list resolution, and delivery of completion documentation including warranties and maintenance guidance.
